Count in bottles & packs
These items carry their size in their own name (e.g. "Aperol 70cl") but have no pack set — so the count still asks for litres/kilos. Tick to count them in bottles + tenths / packs instead. Only exact sizes read from the name; only what you tick is applied.
Deliveries & waste
A delivery raises stock at what it actually cost; waste writes it off at current cost. A stock period opens on its own when the previous one has closed.

Last booking is optional: the latest time a guest can book online, for any party size. A late table is held until closing. Left blank, it is last orders or closing less the table time, whichever is earlier.

Printers
The printers the POS prints bills, receipts and kitchen tickets on. An Epson on your network is reached by the POS itself; a Star CloudPRNT printer polls us.
Add a printer, step by step
Everything here can be done from this iPad. An Epson on your network takes about ten minutes the first time; after that, printing is automatic from the POS.
- Find the printer's address. Easiest: type this iPad's address below (Settings › Wi‑Fi, then ⓘ next to your network: "IP Address"; the "Router" line there does too) and tap Find my printer. H1 asks every address on your network how it answers, about a minute, and offers the ones that answer like a printer. Otherwise the printer's own status sheet shows it: with the printer on, hold the small button next to its network socket with a pen tip for about 3 seconds (not 10, which resets it); or your router's device list shows it as "EPSON". Then, on your router, give the printer a fixed address (a "DHCP reservation"), so it never changes.
- Add it below. Under Add a printer on your network: a name, that address, what it prints, then Add printer. It appears under Your printers.
- Make its certificate. On the printer's card tap Make certificate. A password and a Download the file for the printer (.p12) link appear: tap the link. On an iPad, Safari saves the file under Files › Downloads; on a laptop, under Downloads. Keep the card open for the password.
- Put the certificate on the printer. In Safari open the printer's address with http:// in front (for example http://192.168.1.196/; login is usually epson / epson unless its status sheet says otherwise). Find Security › SSL/TLS (or Certificate) › Import: choose the .p12 file (on an iPad: Browse › Downloads), type the password from the card, import. Set the certificate in use to the imported one ("CA-signed Certificate" on Epson pages), switch HTTPS on, save, then switch the printer off and on.
- Tell this iPad to trust it. Tap Install the printer certificate on this iPad below and allow the download. Then open Settings: tap Profile Downloaded at the top (or General › VPN & Device Management) › Install. Then Settings › General › About › Certificate Trust Settings: switch on "Hospitality in 1 printer CA". Once on every iPad that prints.
- Test. Tap Test print on the printer's card: a short page comes out. Then open the POS from the home screen (not in Safari)from its tab in the Hospitality in 1 app: Print bill on an open table, and every Send prints a kitchen ticket if the printer prints those. If a print says the printer could not be reached, the message names the step that is missing.
If the printer's address ever changes, its card says the certificate no longer matches: tap New certificate and do steps 3 and 4 again. File and password brings back the file and password of the certificate it has.

Rows that look like one person: a shared phone, a shared email, or the same name with nothing contradicting it. Merge keeps the row with more visits and folds the other in: its bookings, messages and history move across; nothing is lost but the second row.
Birthday email
Every morning at 09:30, guests whose birthday is the chosen number of days away, who said yes to offers and have an email, get this message. Each guest gets at most one a year. Off until you turn it on.

Import a guest list
A CSV or Excel export from your old system: one person per row with a name and a phone or email. Known guests are filled in, never overwritten; nobody is added twice. A file never says yes to offers for anyone: only the guest can, with their own tick. A "yes" in the file is noted and left out.
Type the name of the other record. This one is kept; the other's bookings, messages and history move here and its row goes.

Completing a request switches the login off, signs it out everywhere, clears the till PIN and removes the email, phone, address and emergency contact. Pay, hours and contract records are kept for 6 years, as the law requires, and then removed.

SavedStock counts
FOH count the shelves; you review the variance and approve. Approving stamps the exact stock at that moment and updates on-hand.
Areas
Where stock lives. Counts are walked and signed off one area at a time.Name them the way your team says them: Upstairs fridge, Downstairs fridge, Cellar, Back bar, Dry store. Retiring an area keeps it on past counts.
Count templates
A template is a count you repeat: the bar on a Monday, the kitchen at month end. It names the areas to walk (none = the whole venue) and how often. Staff start it from the count app; Start here opens it for them.
Counts
| Date | Status | Counted by | Items | Variance |

Staff start a count at /stock-count on any iPad. A negative variance is shrinkage (stock unaccounted for); approving writes it as a stock adjustment so your figures stay honest.

Supplier invoices & prices
Every supplier invoice, every price, every trend. Invoices arrive by email and land here matched; a verified supplier's proven prices flow to your stock costs on their own, the rest wait for your tap.
Import supplier data
Supplier catalogueSupplier invoices
Only what needs you. Everything else files itself under All invoices, and every invoice teaches H1 its supplier's codes and prices.
Costs waiting on a person
A price the ledger could not turn into a cost, with the reason it gave, and every invoice read but not yet decided. Nothing here guesses a figure: open the invoice to see what each line would set, and only an accept moves a cost.
Catalogue matches & prices
Matches to confirm
The supplier catalogue has products with the same name as your stock items. Tick the ones to link — linking is what lets a supplier price flow onto your item's cost.
Price changes to accept
Latest supplier prices against what your stock currently costs. Safe ones are pre-ticked; Check ones need a look before they can apply.
Set-up & imports
Supplier lists, and the older imports
Supplier names to settle
Some items still carry a supplier as a typed name. The picker on the item ("Always order from") and the invoice link are what ordering and matching trust; a typed name only counts where neither says anything, and only until it is settled here.
Supplier lists
Upload a supplier's full product list (CSV, Excel .xlsx or PDF). H1 reads each code, description, pack and list price, finds the items in your book they match, and you approve each one. Nothing is linked or added until you say so. A list price shows beside the item as List price; it is never a cost: costs still come only from accepted invoices.
Your lists
Open this section to load your lists.
Upload a CSV (or paste) with columns Name, Category, Unit, Code, one product per line. It matches on the supplier product code (so same-named products stay separate), keeps your pack description, works out the department from the category, and links each line to its supplier product for you. Safe to re-run: it updates, never duplicates, and never touches your on-hand counts or costs.
Recipes and costs hang off menu items, but app and quick-sale orders record products. This links the two by exact name only — ambiguous or unmatched products are listed for a human, never guessed — then backfills the link across your whole order history so old sales resolve too.

This queue is the human check on prices: the review, the apply. Ordering lives on the Ordering page — Alex's suggested basket, send, and receive against the order — and Invoices under Suppliers is the filing cabinet. The analysis of what this queue produces is under the Analysis chip above: supplier spend, price movement, Alex's savings and invoice truth today; food cost % and forecast accuracy when their data is in.
